FAQ

Answers for readers and authors using FavoriteBooks.

What is FavoriteBooks?

FavoriteBooks is an online library and marketplace-style reading platform for independent authors. Readers can browse public books, read online, save books, rate books, like books, and follow authors.

Do I need to create an account?

No manual signup is required to start. FavoriteBooks creates a private account for your browser session with a generated username and password. Save or change those details from the Account page so you can reconnect later.

How do I publish a book?

Open Publish, add the title, short description, full book text, author note, cover image, genres, font style, and author display choice. The submission is sent to admin review.

Why is my book waiting for approval?

New books are private until staff approve them. Pending books appear in My Library under Waiting For Approval and become public after approval.

How do saved books work?

Press Save on any available book to add it to My Library. Press Save again to remove it.

How do ratings and follows work?

You can rate a book from one to five stars, like books, and follow non-anonymous authors. Followed authors appear on the Account page.

Can I delete my book?

You can delete your own submitted books from My Library when the delete action is available. Staff may keep moderation records where required for platform safety.

When will payments be available?

Payments are not part of the first build. FavoriteBooks currently focuses on reading, publishing, approval, saving, rating, reports, follows, and author analytics.
